Purpose and legal basis for processing
The PiXL Club Ltd (Company Registration Number 07321607) will process student personal data on behalf of a pupils school only as determined by the school/the data controller in accordance with our contract with the school to provide services including the Primary Edge App. The PiXL Club Ltd will only process personal data for the purpose of improving educational outcomes for the pupils in member schools.
The only data collected by the Primary Edge App is updates to the progress against the edge statements setup by your teacher (this takes the form of a R/A/G or grey rating for each statement) and information related to your progress within the games in the app. Pupil names and logins are managed by the school outside of the Primary Edge App.
GDPR Compliance
All data processing will be carried out in accordance with the six principles of Article 5 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Where data is held and who has access
Data is held securely on servers within the European Economic Area (EEA). All data is transmitted over secure connections using SSL/TLS (Secure Socket Layer / Transport Layer Security) and industry standard encryption methods. Any pupil personal data held by PiXL will only be accessed by a limited number of PiXL employees, and only for the purpose of supporting schools with the use of the Edge programme.
There is no automated decision-making or profiling associated with the processing of any personal data. Your school, as data controller, will appoint designated members of staff to have oversight of this data and can limit the access of other members of staff.
The PiXL Club Ltd will not share this data with any third parties unless legally obliged to do so.
Rights of data subjects
You have a right for any of the data we process on your behalf to be deleted, and all data subjects will have the ability to request deletion of their personal data at any stage. As your school is the data controller requests for subject access requests or deletion requests will be forwarded to the school for actioning.
