Each year, we offer a full suite of events per membership type that may be accessed by leaders at all levels of your school or college. These include subject-specific conferences, networking opportunities, and our flagship national conferences. We also have some additional events within our School of PiXL Leadership Programmes, which are designed with specific school leaders in mind and address some of the most common issues. Please do have a look at our Events Guide which includes all the events we are taking place this academic year. Our full events guide for academic year 2024-25 will be published soon – please click below for key dates so far!

National Conferences:
These events are attended by hundreds of school leaders and are, for many, a highlight of the PiXL academic year. At these national conferences, people gather to hear the latest news on curriculum, PiXL releases, and support and resource for the issues of the moment.
The national conferences are a blend of different approaches. It is a fantastic opportunity to network with colleagues, and we recommend our Raising Standards Leaders attend in person where they can. We have listened to feedback and our Primary and Secondary conferences will incorporate breakout sessions, so you can tailor your experience throughout the day to suit you. Our PiXL Post 16 conferences will involve high levels of interactivity and allow the opportunity to network with other KS5 leaders in sixth form and college settings.
Each national conference includes a delegate handbook and accompanying resources highlighted on our linked agendas.
There are also many other different leadership events that you can access as part of your subscription:
Subject-specific Events
We run events that are tailored to specific subjects or issues and will give you a deep-dive experience. Some events are available as part of your membership, others are at an additional fee.
We want to equip your senior and middle leaders, and class teachers, to be a voice of influence in your setting and beyond.
There are many things to speak up on in education, many of which your colleagues will feel passionately about, some
of which they have no time to think about – and yet without that time, they may lead towards the endless operation of ‘downstream’, without the necessary ‘upstream’ thinking.
We want to be able to think precisely and concisely about both, with meaningful data and research informing our next steps – and by pooling the wisdom of experts beyond and within our network.
Connecting RSLs
We are keen to create connections between our members so that we can learn and share from each other. We do this at national conferences, through PiXL Specialist meetings, online networking sessions and The School of PiXL Leadership courses. We know that there is so much to learn from each other – that is the power of the network.
At PiXL, we bring people together regularly to collaborate and share good practice and to support each other. If there is something that you want an answer to, or would like to discuss, this is the place. We look at timely issues, provide opportunity for colleagues from different schools to speak to one another and, as ever, aim to be practical, such that you can have impact in schools.
MAT Connect Conferences
We run specific events for Multi Academy Trusts. The event is for CEOs, Executive Headteachers and other senior leaders in Multi Academy Trusts. These meetings are designed to share ideas from across Trusts on a range of topical and important issues and to get the balance between both the evidence and research and then the practical steps that people have taken. Our intention is that you will leave not just with ideas and new thinking, but will also be able to network with others in the same role – across Trusts – and feel energised and empowered to continue to make a difference.
At the heart of every Trust is the knowledge, power and will to make a difference to every child, teacher and leader. We are delighted to partner with you and stand alongside you in that endeavour.
If you would like to find out more about MAT Connect and come as a guest, please email trusts@pixl.org.uk.
